What is Holy Communion?

Holy Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is celebrated at Ascension in the joyful confidence that through this Sacrament, our Savior gives us His very body and blood for the forgiveness of all our sins.  Our Lord, invites to this meal all those who trust in him, believe His words, repent of their sins, and willingly demonstrate His love and forgiveness to others as He has shown it to us.  Because participating in this Sacrament is also a statement of our unity in Christ, we ask that those who have not previously communed at our altar, and desire to do so now, please speak with the Pastor or an elder before the worship service begins.
